We are excited to announce that we have a new team member at Seize the Birthday!  Nancy (Nance) Salked is our newest member and we are thrilled to have her.  Be sure to check out her wonderful creations.

Linda has chosen a black & white topping for this week.  I always think clean & simple and classy when I think of black and white.  I used some patterned paper, a tall & narrow gift die and a swirly embossing folder for this one.  Really love how it turned out.

I was a little stumped on this one but I was looking through some of my stash and found this background. I thought it would go well with one of these funky flowers. I snuck a little heart in between the happy and birthday - it blends in a bit but thought it was a fun accent.

Welcome to our new circular challenge at Seize the Birthday! Our circle/circles theme this week is courtesy of Colleen.  Lots of Cs happening - Colleen's circle challenge - lol! My card this week was not an idea that I came up with on my own but it was inspired by Michelle Lupton.  Sometimes I have alcohol ink panels that don't work as a whole but they do well 'cut up'. Thanks so much for the idea Michelle and thanks for the challenge Colleen!

stripe it up

Wow - where did March go?! Hard to believe it's April tomorrow but I am loving the longer days and warmer weather.

Jules picked our Seize the Birthday Challenge this week - stripes!  I love stripes - especially on patterned paper. I have a tendency to accumulate striped paper instead of using it so decided I should make use of some on this card. They suit a slimline card quite well, I think.  I know these are more autumn colours but I quite like these colours together.
