Ok, so...

I lied this morning when I said it was my last fresh post... I managed to get a few minutes at my craft table and get a card done for Summer Card Camp.  I have to say a final thank you to Jennifer, Kristina and Melanie (from Online Card Classes) for putting on a great camp!  I also wanted to play along with yesterday's Featured Stamper at SCS... the fabulous Go-To Gal Teri Anderson. I was inspired by this card of hers.  Congrats Teri and thanks for the inspiration!

bold, bright & happy

Hope you had a great weekend.  Maybe today's bright and bold card will liven up your Monday!  This card is for CAS-ual Friday #11 Create a Clean And Simple project using a sweet or a treat.  I hope this is clean and simple enough!  I am using one of the bonus colour combinations from Summer Card Camp Week 3.  The layout was inspired by this card from my fab friend Cheiron (which I am lucky enough to have on my mantle).  I made this card on Saturday which happened to be my birthday... my hubby said to me "Isn't that sad, you had to make yourself a birthday card".  Hee, hee... no worries though, I did receive several, including some lovely hand made ones from my crafty friends.

This is my last "fresh" post for a while as I am headed off to work again.  See above...

Card camp crazy

I'm jamming as many cards in as I can this week as I'll be heading out again soon enough.  Hope you aren't sick of this colour combination yet.  I know I'm not! Used one of the Summer Card Camp sketches from yesterday too.  ETA - those who know me know I don't usually do bows but it seemed to work for this card.  However, it reminded why I don't do them often.... stressful!!!!

Love this life

Got to play with my crafty gals (yippee!) the other night so whipped up another card for this week's Summer Card Camp colours. I have to say that the hardest colour for me in this is the brown.  I have more chocolate than regular brown so I was thrilled when I found this lovely card stock (in my stash) to go with the brown button. I kept feeling like I needed to add something else but finally stepped away and kept it clan and simple.  The sketch is based on Splitcoast Stampers Sketch #340.  I'm also throwing this in for Unity's Friends With Flair - a challenge I just learned about from Jocelyn.

I'm backtracking today by playing along with last week's colour combination and one of the sketches from Summer Card Camp.  The colours are so fun and bright that I just had too.  In addition, I needed a boy baby card so thought the colours would work perfectly.  What do you think?

Summer Card Camp Week 3

I have spent the last three weeks in a camp but not in card camp unfortunately! Fortunately, I am at home with my craft table and computer so I can play along with Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire's Summer Card Camp Color Challenge #3. I had to sign up for this amazing class with these two uber talented ladies! I missed the bright and cheerful colour combo from last week but this week's is no less fun. How can it not be fun? It has red in it! Red with chocolate no less...

Wow, just realized this is blog post 500... if I had been around and more organized I might have pulled together some blog candy... but alas, it was not to be. My apologies...

Here's a little wildflower I came across while traipsing through the woods... I'm currently trying to find out what it is. I suspect it's a type of orchid. ETA - It looks like it is likely a lady slipper, which is a type of orchid. As I suspected!
