Summer Card Camp Week 3

I have spent the last three weeks in a camp but not in card camp unfortunately! Fortunately, I am at home with my craft table and computer so I can play along with Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire's Summer Card Camp Color Challenge #3. I had to sign up for this amazing class with these two uber talented ladies! I missed the bright and cheerful colour combo from last week but this week's is no less fun. How can it not be fun? It has red in it! Red with chocolate no less...

Wow, just realized this is blog post 500... if I had been around and more organized I might have pulled together some blog candy... but alas, it was not to be. My apologies...

Here's a little wildflower I came across while traipsing through the woods... I'm currently trying to find out what it is. I suspect it's a type of orchid. ETA - It looks like it is likely a lady slipper, which is a type of orchid. As I suspected!

Hope you are having a great summer. I'm going to try and do another card 'fresh' card (or two) this week.  Thanks for stopping by and for all of your great comments on my scheduled posts!

  6. Fantastically cute card! well done!

  7. Great card :) I love card camp too!! That is a Lady Slipper (flower) btw :) They are beautiful but in Maine where I live it is against the law to pick them.

  8. PS: The little purple flower from the woods, looks like a Lady Slipper to me and we have them in the woods here in Massachusetts too.

OOPS...I see that someone already posted that answer, but I had no idea you can't pick them -- good to know! They so pretty and delicate!

  9. Love this hanging heart. SO clever. Perfect pop of red. Wish we could go to camp together...and have cocktails!

  10. LOVE this color combo and the way you interlocked the hearts!!! Super cute!

  11. Welcome back! I hope you can get some craft time in this week before you head out again (at least I think that's what I saw on FB, but maybe I'm just imagining things again). Love the card--you rocked the color challenge!

  12. Glenda, if I was picking the winners, I'd pick you! Love your card!
