Playing along with another challenge today!  Inspired By All the Little Things is celebrating their 50th challenge with this image:

This was definitely a challenge for me as these are definitely not colours I am used to combining together.  This is what I came up with... pretty CAS.  Found some lightly textured white paper in my stash and thought it would make a nice soft background - not sure how well you can see it in the photo.  Thought I would pull out my new alphabet stamp set from Concorde & 9th.  Love how seamlessly the script goes together.

Sun and surf

Today is the last day of A Muse's Summer Fun inspiration which is actually a good thing because it means the new 8.5 x 11 papers (Wheat, Cobalt, Papaya and Lime) will be available for purchase very soon!

Here's my bit of summer inspiration for you. I don't know how to surf but I would love to learn (although I'd have to learn to swim better). This Surfboard stamp from A Muse is so fun and just begs to be coloured with bright colours.

Random Amusing Challenge #68 and some Summer Fun

Happy long weekend to all my Canadian friends. Since I'm not working it's not a huge deal for me but I'm happy to have three relaxing, commitment-free days with my hubby.

Today's challenge is to do something free-hand on your card. Draw something, write your sentiment, draw a squiggle, whatever tickles your fancy. Since I can't draw and my writing isn't that beautiful, I did a doodle line on my card. If you upload to an online gallery, use the keyword GRAC68. Tonight's domesticity including making one of my hubby's favourites, Jambalaya. I changed the recipe a bit by removing the cloves, adding some shrimp and using hot Italian sausage.

The inspiration just keeps on coming! Hope you've enjoyed the Woodland Critters inspiration as well as all of the new fabulous papers this week! They are available in store now and online April 2nd! I love using the mini flower (designed by the fabulous Julie) with the long grass. A cool thing to do with the long grass is to stamp it again without re-inking it, like I did here. It adds some depth to the grass. I must confess, I had a tough time with the clouds paper but it seems to work for this card. What do you think? It's another Woodland Critters inspiration day and one of today's featured stamps is Tiny Bird. Love this stamp, so cute. I really like Leafy Tree too as you can colour the leaves to suit the season. Random Amusing Challenge #60

A bit late posting today as I was having trouble kicking my mojo in gear. I threw my dad a surprise 70th birthday party and it was a huge success! So my mojo is a little bruised after having a fun and busy weekend. My house is so quiet after having my whole family here on the weekend....the silence is almost deafening. Better put some music on.
