Happy Tuesday and welcome to day two of my travel themed Growing in Unity week!  Today I am combining the airplane from All About the Journey and the sentiment from Direction of your Heart.  Stayed pretty clean and simple with this card and worked with some bold colours.  Thought this patterned paper worked perfectly with these stamps.

Growing in Unity - Wandering

So exciting to be doing Growing in Unity this week!  Always have fun playing with my Unity Stamps and I get to do it all week this week!  I have a thing for/addiction to/obsession with travel themed stamps, embellishments and papers (my regulars will be quite aware of that!) so I've decided to do a travel themed Growing in Unity week.  There is a lot to pick from so it was tough to narrow down which ones to do.  Hope you enjoy what I've come up with!

I'm starting off with the balloon from Absolutely Priceless and one of the sentiments from Travel Notes.  Thought it would be fun to have the clouds 'floating' off the edge of the card.

Be sure to stop by every day this week and comment on my blog.  One lucky person will win two Itty Bity stamps of their choice from Unity Stamp Company!  (I think I have an unhealthy addiction to Itty Bittys... trust me, you'll have a hard time limiting yourself to 2!) You have until midnight Pacific time on Saturday July 21st to comment.  I will choose a winner (using Random.org) sometime on Sunday the 22nd. A big thanks to Unity for doing the Growing in Unity program... what a great opportunity!  So much fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope to see you again tomorrow.

Woodgrain whining & a winner

Woodgrain stresses me out.  Repeated same size elements stress me out.  Lining up patterns stresses me out.  So when I got this idea in my head to do this card, I must have wanted to cause myself stress.  I don't know what I was thinking.  The idea was to have equally sized squares and have the wood grain pattern line up.  That "sorta, kinda, maybe, but not really" happened...sigh.  But I'm not doing it again (already wasted a lot of paper) so this will have to do. All of this to play along with the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: Autumn Woods.   Hee, hee.  Thanks to Cath (I guess) for a ginormous challenge!  The sketch is from Card Ideas for Paper Crafters.

So, you may know I was the Growing in Unity Girl this week...so that means I have to draw a winner from all the comments left this week....there were 140 fabulous comments... wow, I've never had that many comments in a week... and I appreciate every one of them... a big thank you to everyone... ok, have I stalled enough??????

The winner is:

Sharon, please email Kelli at Unity Stamps (kelli [at] unitystampco [dot] com) and let her know your address and which of the following stamps sets you would like!  Congratulations!

Thanks to everyone for stopping by.  I hope you have a great weekend.

It's the Friday finale of my Growing in Unity week!  It's been a blast.  Hope you enjoyed my creations. I've decided to finish off with the fabulous Feel the Joy set and one of my favourite colour combinations  - red, royal purple, yellow and white.  It always works for me and I love it.  Also, I had to use one of these fabulous red clothes pins - LOVE!  Also playing along with Unity's weekly feature, Friends with Flair and the Textured to Perfection Challenge in the Moxie Fab World (because I figure there is a lotta lotta texture goin' on here).

Growing in Unity: Thanks a bunch

It's Growing in Unity day four! I'm playing along with the current Unity Challenge - Autumn Harvest.  The poem mentions falling leaves so inked up Thanks a Bunch in the rich A Muse Currant ink, mounting it on kraft, another fall colour. Autumn is all about being thankful so used the sentiment from thanks a bunch as well.

Growing in Unity: Sweetest Day Ever

Welcome to Growing in Unity day three!  Today is my 'feature' day over at the Unity Blog.  There is a rather verbose bio over there... oops, got a little carried away talking about my craftiness... LOL.  I've picked one of my favourite Unity Stamps to use today. My fabulously brilliant friend Jill pointed out to me that strawberries have black seeds (I used this stamp when we stamped together this summer) and I should try that.  I do appreciate being biologically precise, and I will try black seeds some day, but I like the contrast of the white on red.  This goes back to last week's conversation on creative license...

Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of the following fabulous Unity Stamp sets!  At the end of the week, I will randomly pick a winner from all of the comments left on my posts this week.

Growing in Unity: Be Funky

Thanks for stopping by the second day of my Growing in Unity Week!  Today I am playing along with the Unity Kit of the Month October Sketch Challenge. I have a thing about combining this owl, this sentiment, glitter and paper piecing as you can see from this card from last month's challenge.  Both of these stamps are from Unity's All You Need set (August 2010 Kit of the Month).  ETA - forgot that I was going to enter this into the SCS HYCCT Challenge 9 - Things are looking up.

Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of the following fabulous Unity Stamp sets!  At the end of the week, I will randomly pick a winner from all of the comments left on my posts this week.

Growing in Unity: Be Your Own Beautiful

Thrilled to be doing Growing in Unity this week!  I've been having a blast playing with my Unity stamps, whipping up some creations to share.  Today's premiere card is playing along with the All Things Unity Challenge 42 - BINGO (see the game card below) and SCS Hope You Can Cling To Challenge #13 - Butterflies of Hope. I did the left hand vertical row - mist, twine, buttons and die cuts.  Ok, so I have to admit, I've had mist lurking around my craft room for almost a year (I won it).  It periodically whispers to me "just do it - try me".  I have to say I've been scared of it's unpredictability and, now I know, for good reason.  It's a good thing I have a bulk package of white card stock because I went through a lot of it trying to get this card just right.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not scared of it because I'm a perfectionist (pretty random and spontaneous actually), it's because I am uncoordinated.  Uncoordinated is not good with mist.  I definitely have to do some more trials before I will be using it on a regular basis.  Ok, enough babbling... here's my card...

Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of the following fabulous Unity Stamp sets!  At the end of the week, I will randomly pick a winner from all of the comments on my posts this week.
