The Art of Text

In my life as a scientist, I have been fortunate enough to be able to delve into graphic design. It's great to be creative and scientific at the same time. Graphic design is about fonts as well as graphics. I love fonts and have been interested in fonts since was young, when I bought books on lettering and took a calligraphy class. So I couldn't resist playing along with the Paper Crafts September Gallery challenge which is all about text.

I rarely feel brilliant when I make a card but I really love how this turned out. I had a lot of fun with it. I 'kissed' a sentiment on both the 'thanks' and the leaves. Even though you can't read the sentiment and the lettering is backwards, it is still effective.

Thanks for stopping by. I always appreciate it. To those who have a long weekend, I hope you enjoy it.

Take care and happy creating.
Glenda
