Sketchy Sunday

I didn't stamp yesterday (it a shock to the system) as I was outside gardening and making cinnamon buns (this was a rare domestic moment for me... Karl, my hubby, wishes I was a bit more domestic but sure did appreciate the yummy buns).

Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.netSo I was waiting for the rain to clear this morning (I have more gardening to do - have some new plants to put in and some old weeds to rip out) and decided to do some sketch challenges this morning...hence the 'sketchy' title...

First off is Tracy's Sketch Thursday #32. I've combined this with Splitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple Challenge #9 courtesy of Jenny - use distressing on the card. I loved Tracy's sketch and I love distressing and this is what resulted. I actually used a sharp edge to distress the black matte too but it's hard to see. Thanks Tracy and Jenny for the inspiration!

The second challenge is for Splitcoast Stampers Inspiration Challenge - Grandin Road (thanks Stef) - I took the colours from that print. The sketch is from Jen's Sketch for You to Try - I must say I almost ran screaming from this challenge (sorry Jen). I have a hard time with that many elements on one card...but I decided to strech my boundaries. What do you think? Thanks Jen and Stef!

  2. Good Morning, Sweet Glenda: I loved your photos, girl. I'm totally 'overwhelmed' with your stamping space! I would never have guessed your craft room could look anything like mine, minus the room (I use the kitchen). I had to jump for joy to know we are most definitely kindred spirits! Rock on! Anne ryan

  3. Great cards, Glenda! Loved how you used 3 different colours of Kitchen paper on the 1st card (and paper pieced the poppy...fantastic!) and love the multi coloured stamped zinnias on your 2nd card. You are so good at keeping up with challenges! TFS and have a wonderful week:) Tinla
