radiant rainbows

Ok, I'm doing this at the last minute so no time for chit chat!  LOL.  Kidding of course, but it is almost 10 pm the night before and I just finished retaking a photo of my card for this week.  I took one quite a while ago but it didn't show the colours well so had to take another tonight.... although I almost forgot (thanks Nancy!).  The photo isn't as bright as I would like but I was having trouble keeping the colours true when I was mucking around in PhotoShop.

We are playing with rainbows this week at Seize the Birthday.  I decided to a stained glass effect on this butterfly.  There is also a vellum butterfly in behind, but it may be hard to see.  Hope you like it!  It was a great way to use up some paper scraps but it was a little fussy to put together.

Hope you can play along with us this week!  All the details on how to play along are on the blog. Give some crafty love to our spectacular summer Surprise Party Guest, Trina Pham, and the rest of the team.

Have a terrific day and wonderful weekend.  Always appreciate your thoughtful comments! Also, please do not talk about the end of summer ;).  Fall does not start for a few more weeks and I am holding on to summer for as long as I can. :D
Thanks for stopping by,
Glenda

Happiest of birthdays

Hey crafters!  Hope all is well in your world as April comes to a close.  Hard to believe - wasn't it just January yesterday? We are currently experiencing some summer-like weather here on the Canadian west coast.  I'm hoping the temperatures keep getting warmer as I love the heat.

It's a free week over at Seize the Birthday!  I die-cut some watercolour paper that was smooshed with Distress Inks.  Tried to keep it pretty CAS and I think it turned out well.

Hope you can play along with us this week!  All the details on how to play along are on the blog.  Give some love to our Surprise Party Guest (it's Kim's last week - been great having her!) and the rest of the DT.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a terrific day and a wonderful weekend.

Inspired

Playing along with another challenge today!  Inspired By All the Little Things is celebrating their 50th challenge with this image:

This was definitely a challenge for me as these are definitely not colours I am used to combining together.  This is what I came up with... pretty CAS.  Found some lightly textured white paper in my stash and thought it would make a nice soft background - not sure how well you can see it in the photo.  Thought I would pull out my new alphabet stamp set from Concorde & 9th.  Love how seamlessly the script goes together.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a spectacular day.

Sweet!!!

Hey crafty friends... happy Thursday!  Hope you're having a great week!  I'm in my first week of unemployment (or as I'm told to say 'funemployment' - haha) - trying to enjoy it and keep busy.

This week is a 'topping free' week at Seize the Birthday.  I received a new Concorde & 9th stamp set (Sweet & Cool) from a friend so had to use this sentiment for my birthday card this week.  You may not be able to see it but the cherry has Glossy Accents on it and the icing has glitter.

Hope you can play along with us!  Be sure to check out the blog and the rest of the fabulous designs from the rest of the team.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a terrific day and wonderful weekend.  Always appreciate your comments.
