How did it get to be October already? Fall is not my favourite season but I really can't complain about the weather so far. I've been continuing my habit of the last 6 months of having my coffee outside in the morning... I'm a little more bundled up now and some mornings I have to be under cover but the fresh morning air is lovely.
We are pulling out all the scraps at Seize the Birthday this week thanks to Lindsey! A couple of these strips were cut from a pristine piece of paper but the majority are scraps - including the white square (it is the negative of a die cut). I have so many scraps so I love this challenge... it was so fun to pull together a rainbow with a variety of patterns. It's pretty simple but I'm happy with it.
Great use of your scraps Glenda. They all work together so well. Love your card.
ReplyDeleteI love that you put your patterned paper strips in rainbow order! Such a pretty card.
ReplyDeleteNothing better that your cup of coffee on the morning fresh air. It is gratifying to put together a card from scraps that looks as good as this one.
ReplyDeleteWonderful patterned paper rainbow Glenda! Love the vellum border on the sentiment too, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteI would so love to be sitting right there sharing a coffee with you! You are so good at embracing life and I am striving to take your lead! Thanks for the push and the reminder! Anyhoozal, Since I can't be there I will admire your lovely card from a far. Leaving the white edge and using the white panel with the vellum really brought this card together. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI usually have a tough time coordinating patterns - so I guess having a rainbow pattern would work out pretty well if I ever tried it myself too. Awesome card, Glenda! Thanks for the inspiration!
