make a wish

Happy February!  What?!? How has a month of 2018 passed already?  Hope you're doing well and settling into the new year.  This week at Seize the Birthday, we are featuring candles. This stressed me out a bit because I don't have a lot of candy stamps and exactly zero candle dies.  So I decided to build some candles. I wrapped the paper around a small pencil and then used some double sided tape seal them up. I clipped some small sections of string, put some double sided tape on the end and then used some tweezers to put them inside the candles.

Hope you can play along with use this week!  Be sure to check the blog for all the details and give some love to Kristie and the rest of the design team.

Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific day.

  1. This is so cute. I love the paper candles

  2. So resourceful! The striped paper is of course perfect for birthday candles. (My January: stomach flu, a week of cool weather in the Bahamas, and two weeks of a husb with a head cold. So bring on February!) :D

  3. You're so creative, Glenda! Love the 3D candles and stripes on them :) !

  4. Super cute with the "real" wicks!

  5. Very creative Glenda. Your candles look real.

  6. How clever of you to make these realistic candles. You rocked this topping.

  7. Love to see all the creativity that was used this week for our candle topping! You and Barb out did yourselves! Excellent card Glenda!

  8. Super cute card, Glenda! I love your handmade candles, so clever!
