First off... I LOVE THE HEAT! The temperature here has been hovering around 30 Celsius this week and it's fabulous. One small rant... I wish people here were happy with the weather. Everyone complains about the weather here and we have the best weather in Canada. I love it cause of days like today (we need more of them) and cause we don't have to shovel a lot of snow in the winter. I do understand people don't do well in the heat, so my apologies to those people. Ok... I'm done. Bring on the heat!!!!
On to the challenge...thanks Jennie... to be inspired by a book. My favourite book of late is the Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and I was inspired by it's cover (see left). I have to thank my friend Alex (who I met on an airplane home from London last year) for sending it to me from Australia. This is a fabulous book and I highly recommend it. Here's my card - took the colours, added some distressing and the pattern on the background. I apologize for the quality of the photo. Took it in the dying light of yesterday and I sent it to someone today so can't take another!
I'm still working on my class descriptions for July and will post them soon. Hope everyone is having a great week. Take care.. Glenda
