Apologies for the late post... I was SILLY BUSY on the weekend and then today was such a beautiful day that it was really hard to come inside after I got home from work! Hope everyone had a great weekend. This is going to be a wee bit of a long post so I best get started.
First, the challenge... it's a bit different this week. I want you to take some element from my card and use it on your card. In other words, CASE my card. The definition of CASE (according to Splitcoast Stampers) is "Copy and Share Everything". So just be inspired by my card - use the same colours, the same layout, the same stamps, make a flower card, make a birthday card - and put your own special twist on it. Make sense? This is an unusual colour combo for me... (I was inspired by this card by Julie) but like how it came together. I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the bracket. If you are uploading to SCS, use the keyword GRAC26. As always, try to use a little A Muse on your card. Thanks to these fabulous and talented ladies for playing along last week - Rachel, Donna and Cheiron. A quick note about next weeks challenge - I will be writing it up on Saturday as I will be travelling next Monday. The challenge will go up next Monday but I may not acknowledge everyone who played and may not comment on next weeks challenge cards until later in the week.
Had a busy, busy weekend. On Saturday was my make and take at the Crop for Kenya (charity crop to help bring clean water to Kenya). Thanks to Stephanie Cave (in the photo with me) for organizing and letting me come to the crop. Scrappers' Anonymous and Treasured Memories Scrapbooking were there too. I'm teaching at both stores in June. Thanks for everyone who stopped by to make a cute and quick card with me!
Had a fun Sunday with two classes (12 ladies total) at Crafty Capers. Thanks to Lorri for opening up for me as Victoria (the owner) was heading back from Vancouver after taking one of Julie's classes (luck lady!). Thanks to Victoria for coming in on her anniversary too! The first class was attended by Lynn, Shirley, Louise and Lorri (from left to right in the photo). Loretta, Joanne, Michelle, Kathy, Linda, Mary, Val and Janice attended the second class. Some were first timers to my class and others had been there before. The last time I taught at Crafty Capers it was a bit chaotic (2 classes with 10 people in each - only the second time I had taught!!!) so I'm amazed anyone came back. THANKS SO MUCH ladies for a great day. Hope you had fun... I had fun except when I was looking for my ScorTape... over and over and over again....
I'm just putting the final schedule together for my A-MUSE-A-PALOOZA classes in July so stay tuned for that - should be on here later this week. Also, I'm planning on playing along with the A Muse Lounge challenge #5 - be inspired by a book. I love books so I am definitely playing along with this. The deadline is Sunday so I better get my act together.
Hope you have a great week and get a chance to be creative (and play along with my challenge too!).... take care, Glenda
