glorious green

Happy Thursday crafty friends.  JoAnn has picked our Seize the Birthday topping for this week and it is Use Green as Your Main Colour. Green is one of my faves so really enjoyed this JoAnn. (Full confession - this is my second card for this challenge.  Wasn't completely happy with the first one - lol).  Got out my long neglected alcohol inks, put on a wee bit of gold and this is how it turned out.  There is a close up just to see the gold on the edge and the texture on the leaf.

Be sure to head over to the blog to give some crafty love to our new Surprised Party Guest for March and April, Jennie M (welcome Jennie!), previous winner Valerie (congrats on winning my challenge!) and the rest of the design team.

I'm also entering this into our sister challenge, The Color Hues Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a terrific day and a wonderful upcoming weekend.
Glenda

  5. I think the shade of green that you chose is great for the gold it's very classic looking. I think your second card turned out fantastic but I didn't even see your first card.

  7. I am sure card number one was great too but you always do such a great job with those Alcohol Inks so I love this one very much. Such a pretty and vibrant green. Sorry for coming by so late, we just got back from a trip.

  9. 'Neglected' is the state that my alcohol inks are also in! Sigh! I'm glad you got to use yours though. The bright green looks great. And I love how you've swapped the colors - the background being gree and the leaf is white! Cool design!
