Wishing you a belated happy Thursday (a little late getting my post together - sorry! No good excuse).
TaeEun has picked the theme of frames for Seize the Birthday this week. In my ongoing efforts to improve my blending, I decided to use my new Hero Arts stamp (which I was jennabled to buy by my friend Jenn Shurkus) and create an ocean themed card. For some reason I felt like a hexagon frame would work well so I pulled out my long neglected hexagon dies. I also used them to create the edges for the sentiment panel. I think my blending is slowly improving...but some days it works and some days it doesn't.
Be sure to check out the blog for the fabulous frame creations from Surprise Party Guest Melanie and the rest of the DT.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.
Glenda

Your blending is amazing and this looks so real! I have been staring at it for awhile and can't take my eyes from it. Such depth to that hexagon.
ReplyDeleteLove the shaped framework -- cool inside too
ReplyDeleteOne of my all time favorite cards...no seriously! I am so in love with this and the way you framed it in. I have this stencil and have yet to open it up! You have really inspired me. Your blending is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine you needed a lot of enabling to add this one to your collection! Your blending looks great to me - although I agree, some days it works, some days, not so much. The hexagon frame is perfect, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the spiralling effect of this image, it goes perfectly with the hexagon and I think your blending is spot on! Fabulous card, Cathy x

ReplyDeleteFab card! Looks like the sun is shining through part of the water. Great idea to match the edges of your sentiment panel to the frame too.
