spectacular summer

Well, it's not quite summer yet... but it is over at Seize the Birthday! My apologies for the lateness of my post... no excuse that is really acceptable. ;)

This lemony looks bright, cheerful and summery to me so thought I would use it! I default to flowers a lot when it comes to spring & summer so thought I would change it up. Thanks to team mate Colleen for this great theme.

Hope you can join us for this challenge! Check out the blog for the rest of the spectacular summer creations from the team and Jo, our fantastic Surprise Party Guest!

Have a terrific day and wonderful weekend.  Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are taking care of yourselves and staying well. We've been seeing a bit more of friends lately... staying outside and physically distant.  It sure feels great!

  1. That little lemon slice on the sentiment just adds the perfect touch to this summery card! Would go well with gin, too, lol.

  2. The peek through sentiment was such a great idea, looks fantastic, lemon and green, such refreshing summery colours, Cathy x

  3. This is the best one of the group. Where did you ever get the cute tiny lemon slice. This card is good enough to eat!

  4. Love how the background comes through the Happy. Very Summery looking :)

  5. You always either make me chuckle or put a smile on my face. Love your card and choice of papers! HUGS!!

  6. Really, that paper looks great! How should I say, it really brings out the 'summer', but one which is 'all relaxed'. And I love how you can take peeks of it through the negative sentiment. Awesome card, Glenda!

  7. Love the lemony background showing through the die cut. That little lemon slice is a great accent on the sentiment.

  8. Lemons, gin, tonic - it's summer all year round for me :)
Love that dinky lemon slice on the sentiment.
