Happy Monday crafty friends. Hope you had a great weekend! One of the highlights of my weekend was running in the Victoria Goddess Run 5K with my friend Alli! Ok, I have to admit I was much happier when I finished than while I was running! It was a beautiful day and it was great to run with one of my amazing friends.
On to today's Paper Smooches Sparks Trend Watch Challenge - Prints are Charming. Ok, you may have noticed that I do love my patterned paper. In fact, I have waaaaaaay too much of it - 6x6 paper pads are a definite addiction. I think the technical term for it is chronic paperitis. (I credit Emily for this term).
I went completely obnoxious, 70s, wacky prints on this one. Hope you aren't blinded! I was a small child during the 70s and my mother dressed me (no offence Mom, I love you!) so I have nightmares when I see photos of myself as a child, all those crazy prints. It's a wonder I came up with this at all. I used Vogue Abode (hence the 70s prints) and Geo-Graphic. I tried to be all encompassing with the patterns - patterns from paper and patterns from stamps. One thing to note about this card... you can see the 'dial' on the phone. I achieved this by inking up the phone and 'kissing' it to the polka dots from Geo-Graphic I'm old enough that I remember having one of those big, heavy (you could knock someone out with one of those things) rotary dial phones. I loved playing with it (much to my parent's dismay). The one we had was black (as most of them were I think) but I know I would love to have a red one in my house right now. Ok, enough babbling about the phone... I also used the kiss technique on the rug, using the chevrons from Geo-Graphic.
Hope you get a chance to play along! You have until June 10th to play along. All the details are on the Paper Smooches Sparks blog. Be sure to check out what the rest of the fabulous DT has created!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Glenda
