Hope you are having a great day. I am enjoying a lovely sunny day (at home!) which perfect caps off a great week. I was fortunate enough to spend a few days with my hubby in California and as an added bonus, got to visit and craft with my fabulous friend and fellow crafter/science geek Jill Grace! In between all the talking and eating (maybe there was a cocktail in there as well), we did manage to get a few cards done.
This one is for the Cosmo Cricket sketch challenge. There is a chance to get published in Cards Magazine so I couldn't pass this up! This was a bit tough as it's a multilayer sketch (not my usual clean and simple) and I wanted to use as much Cosmo Cricket paper as I could (but combining patterns isn't always easy for me). I simplified the sketch by using holes instead of the buttons along the scallop edge and used papers from the same collection (which makes combining patterns way easier). Jill and I went crafty shopping (surprise, surprise) and I found red mini clothes pins and I LOVE them (so had to use one on here).
ETA - As I'm pulling together the supply list for this, I've discovered that these papers are discontinued. That makes me sad cause they are fabulous... and it also makes the chances of this getting published a little slimmer (magazines prefer using current supplies). Oh well, I still love how this turned out!
Hope you have a great weekend. I'll be back with a few more challenge cards over the next few days.
Thanks for stopping by.
Glenda
