Elegant Gray

The latest Moxie Fab World Challenge is "Gray is the New Black". I like gray but don't use it often as I seem to have a tough time with it. I was going to avoid this challenge for that very reason but decided to push myself to play along. I used some things I've been hoarding - beautiful glossy patterned paper from Making Memories and velvet ribbon from Stampin' Up! I also used new treasures from my Paper Crafts package - stamps courtesy Unity Stamp Company and a pin from Maya Road. There is glitter on the tree but it's tough to see. The sketch is from this week's Paper Craft Planet sketch. Thanks to Cath from Moxie Fab World and to Kim from Paper Craft Planet for the inspiration!

Speaking of my packages from Paper Crafts, they finally arrived late last week. They got stuck in customs for a week (it arrived there just before Christmas and didn't get out until just before New Years!). You can tell they had a bit of a rough ride...

This is is what it looked like when I first took everything out. It may not look like much but each one of those plastic bags held a wealth of crafting treasures. Thanks again to Paper Crafts! Be sure to check out my upcoming 100th challenge on January 17th as I *might* be sharing some of my goodies....*wink*. I've already shared some with my crafty gals too...

ETA - one of my favourite things from my boxes of "loot" is the ScrapMaBob. Those who know me know that I'm prone to clumsiness and I frequently have a cup of coffee or tea going while I'm crafting, so this is PERFECT for me. It's the key to having my coffee habit and my crafty habit coexist in perfect harmony. Best.invention.ever. (Can you tell how much I love it?)

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you've had a fabulous weekend.
Glenda

  4. I've been scared of the Moxie Fab challenge, too. I just don't think I can think of a way to use gray in an innovative way. But I think you nailed this!! Good for you. It's a lovely card, Glenda!
