What you can't really see on the first card is that I stamped on the green and brown butterflies too. In the second card, I embossed with some iridescent power so the black butterfly is all sparkly! I love these cards and will definitely be making more! I was inspired to make these cards by some of the ones I made last weekend (thanks to Julie and the Making Memories gals). Julie's circle card inspired me to do the butterfly shaped card. I didn't post a picture of it but we made a 3D butterfly card in the Making Memories class.
ETA - Penny asked a question about the fold on the second card. I scored the green butterfly along the left hand side. By scoring the back piece, the fold is only visible from the back of the card.
Be sure to check out the A Muse News and the other Muses blogs (listed down on your left) for more Everything's Rosy amuse-bouche. Also, be sure to comment on Cuppa Time with Julie for a chance to win a fabulous A Muse mug (I have to get me one of those even though they are pink). Be sure to read this post about all the stuff you can win! There is only one more day of Everything's Rosy amuse-bouche but it will be fabulous. I know once you get your hands on these fabulous stamps, you will love them and make some fabulous creations with them. The stamps may be in your local store now and they will be available online May 4th.
Tonight's supper was Spicy Thai-style Prawn Soup - very yummy! I used sambal oelek for the Asian chili sauce and subbed in green peppers and celery for the mushrooms (mushroom-loathing hubby).
Have a great weekend and play along with my challenge if you have the chance. Thanks for stopping by. Glenda

ReplyDeleteNew nesties are so much fun to play with, aren't they? Lovin' your cards!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! I have this nestabilities set and I was just playing with it yesterday. When I first saw this new sentiment, I thought it would go perfect with this butterfly nestabilities set. How did you make your butterfly shaped card so its the entire butterfly and you don't see where the fold is? I put the fold at the top of the butterfly wings.
ReplyDeleteGreat cut-outs, Glenda. Now, I'm inspired to make some non-traditional shaped cards!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your yellow butterfly is goin' to just fly off your page! Beautiful! Love your Nesti card too!
