Hi all... busy stamping this morning so couldn't resist playing along with the Weekend Sketch Challenge. This week's sketch is courtesy of Lori... thanks! I think I have a problem though... I am obsessed with A Muse's "Mushroom Trio" stamp...I can't stop using it and I can't stop colouring it red. I tried it in green once and it looked good, but it still wasn't the same! Sorry the thanks is a bit smudged, my white ink is pretty juicy!
This is a perfect segway into my story about who I met on my recent work trip to Florida...the originator of the Weekend Sketch Challenge is Beate Johns, Creative Director at Splitcoast Stampers. When I was in Florida, I was in Crestview, which is in the pan handle. I knew Beate lived near Crestview, in Niceville (says on her SCS profile), so I dropped her an email to see if we could get together. So I was able to drop by her house and have a great visit with her. Thanks Beate for your hospitality and the treats! She is such a great person, so genuine and amazingly creative!
I must go... have to drop off some samples at Scrappers' Anonymous. I'm teaching a class there on March 21st. Call Stacey and Susan and sign up! They've also put a little blurb about me on their Design Team page... thanks ladies!
Have a great weekend. I'll be back tomorrow as I played along with another sketch challenge. Be sure to stop by Monday for my weekly Random Amusing Challenge. Take care... Glenda

It is so cool that you got to meet Beate!! Once my cousin sent me a thread from SCS and I replied to it thinking it would go to her but it ended up going back to SCS and Beate responded to let me know. An e-mail from Beate!! I was so excited - I still have it in my computer archives. Any contact with Beate, even accidental, was good for me!!
