This week we are playing with texture over at Seize the Birthday. I used an embossing folder for the background and then layered the die cut for some extra texture. Blue isn't my favourite colour but I am pretty happy with how this turned out!
Hope you can play along with us this week! Be sure to check out our special party guest, Tenia Nelson, to see her fabulous creation. It's been great having her join us. Also, give some crafty love to the rest of the STB DT and check out the blog for the rules.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the comments! Have a great weekend.
Glenda

Great texture with the heart die cuts. Love your card Glenda.
ReplyDeleteFabulous color choice of your "textured" hearts!
ReplyDeleteBlue is my favorite color and I loved seeing the hearts in a blue rather than the usual red or pink. You could sent this one to anyone and it would be cherished.
ReplyDeleteLove the added depth by layering your hearts! I agree with Barb! Love the blue versus the same old red! Super job!!!
ReplyDeleteRed would have been a much too obvious choice for the hearts, so I'm glad you went with blues! A very pretty card.
ReplyDeleteThe embossing in the background is almost invisible - almost missed it!! The textured hearts look great too!
ReplyDeleteLove all of the dimension in the hearts, such a great card, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty ! Hearts in blue look good on your card, Glenda! Love that you added a layer in black (or navy) underneath the hearts! The dark layer adds so much dimension!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love the shadow effect of the hearts too.
