sassy square

Can someone explain to me how it got to be the end of August?!?!? I blinked and the past two months have disappeared... summer is my favourite season and I'm hopeful that September will be warm & sunny.

It was my turn to pick the topping at Seize the Birthday this week! I love square cards but don't make nearly enough of them. I also love martinis and usually make one or two on the weekends. ;) I was actually inspired by this scrap of patterned paper first ... the idea for the martini glass came after I picked the paper.

Be sure to jump on over to the blog to give Su, our Surprise Party Guest, and the rest of the design team some love for their sassy squares.

Wishing you a terrific Thursday and have a wonderful upcoming weekend (happy long weekend to my Canadian & American friends). Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Such a classy fun looking card Glenda! Love the pops of green. I don't think I've ever made a square card so went for a landscape rectangle instead (which I also don't do very often!) Think I might have to invest in some square cards and envelopes! Cathy x

  2. I love how you were inspired buy the background paper. I also love how you think. There is a martini in my weekend too.

  3. The background pattern and the martini are truly a perfect match!!! A fun square card!

  4. This is such a fun card! Great job on the sentiment in the matching colours. Mmm, martinis. :D

  5. I am in full agreement with you on the year flying by! Love your topping selection this week and your card too! Hugs my friend!
