happy Birthday

Happy Thursday crafters! Hope you're having a great week.  We're going 'topping free' over at Seize the Birthday this week.  This card is a little out of the norm for me - no bright colours. Pastels are not my strong suit so I was definitely challenging myself with this one.  I started with some paper I needed to use up and went from there.  Hope you like it.

Hope you can play along with us this week! Be sure to stop by the blog to give some love to Lindsey and the DT... all the details on how to play along are there as well.

Always appreciate when you stop by to comment.  Have a terrific day and a wonderful weekend.

Card details:
happy Birthday - 4" x 5 ⅛"
Stamps: Hero Arts
Paper: Kraft and cream card stock, scrap of blue patterned paper
Accessories: May Arts Twine, SU! die, EK Success corner rounder punch, A Muse pearls

  1. Pretty card. I like the design and the colors.

  2. Very pretty and a little vintage-y. I'm trying to decide how one determines that a patterned paper *needs* to be used up... ;)

  3. The patterned paper goes so well with the twine, Glenda! Simple yet very pretty design!

  4. I think your pattern paper and embellishments really hit it off in this card, Glenda. Such a gorgeous match up! Loving your design.

  5. Love your papers and design Glenda! The twine and double layered sentiment is nice too! Hope you have a great weekend!

  6. Glenda I love the rustic feel of this card, from the muted background to the torn edges and twine. And I have LOTS of paper that needs to be used up, too!

  7. I do like your card Glenda! Sometimes we have to just bit the bullet and challenge ourselves to create out of the box. I like the bright colors too, but this card is awesome.

  8. This card is so pretty and... well, peaceful! I love it : )
