Bonjour!

Joyeux lundi! Happy Monday! Bonjour! It is still Sunday night here but I suspect most of you will be reading this on Monday.  Happy Family Day to some of my Canadian friends and Happy Presidents Day to my American friends!

Playing along with the Studio Calico sketch for the first time. I always have trouble trying to layout a card so sketch challenges are always my favourite. This one is particularly fun (see below).

I love using French sentiments... but it also reminds me that I wish my French was better.  Guess I need to travel to Quebec and go back to France!  Six years of high school French gave me decent comprehension and pronunciation but I have a hard time stringing a sentence together. The verb conjunctions *might* be a little rusty too.  Hee, hee...  ETA... and oh, to be able to write bi-lingual posts like Alexandra.

Hope you enjoy today's card and have a great week.  I always appreciate it when you stop by and all of the comments warm my heart.  Merci beaucoup!
Glenda

  1. Allo mon amie!!
Yep, I'm a French Anglo, living in Quebec! If you decide to make a trip to Quebec, we'll definitely have to get in the sites!
Love your card! french sentiments, for some reason, for me anyways, seem to give a little more 'oomph!' to cards. Just me, I guess!

  2. With layouts, I either have it in my brain from the start... or I have nothing. So I'm a big sketch challenge fan, too, unless they're too busy for simple me. :P
This sketch is just right -- really like your interpretation with the bold pops of colour. C'est très bon!

  5. Salut!! Elle est géniale ta carte! C'est sympa de voir un sentiment en français, c'est rare et tu sais quoi? presque toutes mes amies françaises préfèrent utiliser des mots anglais sur leurs cartes, c'est drole non?

    Bravo!!
