Back(ground) stretch

Quick little post this afternoon... I'm finally getting a chance to play along with Stretch Your Stamps!  The feature on Day 1 was background stamps.  I have a really hard time with big background stamps (although I seem to have several of them) so thought I would take the plunge and try 'stretching' myself.  I stamped Hero Art's Zig Zag on 'smoky' vellum (not sure what to call it - it's not a homogeneous colour) with white ink and then heat embossed with clear powder. I coloured a couple of the stripes on the back of the vellum (used my Copics).  Think it turned out kinda' cool... hope you think so too.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to stop by tomorrow... it's the start of a busy week!
Take care,
Glenda

  1. Yep! I love the effect! Have jotted down your idea and will have to give it a whirl! Love the simple ease of it! Great way to make an "understated impact" -- now there's an oxymoron for ya!!! :)
