Paper Smooches Guest Designer - Week 3

Welcome to week 3 of my Paper Smooches Guest Designer gig!  I've been trying to come up with a theme every week to tie my cards together.  The first week, it was colour.  Last week, it was gingham patterned paper.  This week, I've been inspired by the amazing Kim Hughes, owner/ designer/ illustrator/ brilliance-behind-the operation at Paper Smooches.  Kim has some sketches in Paper Crafts' Go-To Sketches and I picked two of them to use today.

I'm using Hubby & Wifey for my first card.  In an effort to show that this love/wedding set can be used for more than just weddings and anniversaries, I decided to use the big flower and the champagne bubbles to make a thank you card.  The sketch I used (as seen on page 68 of the magazine) is shown below the card.

For the Alfresco card, I decided to use the super fun hamburger.  It just screams out for some fun colours.  The choices were to colour or paper piece, so I chose the lesser of two evils.  ;)  Again, the sketch (as seen on page 76 of the magazine) is below.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Last week is my last week as Guest Designer...wow, May has flown by so quickly.  Crazy!
Hope you are having a great week,
Glenda
