Paper Smooches Guest Designer Week 1

So excited to be Paper Smooches Guest Designer for May!  It's a real thrill and honour to be a part of Paper Smooches this month in addition to being on the Sparks Challenge DT as well (be sure to play along with this week's challenge!).

I am highlighting two of the newest stamp sets, Alfresco and Hubby and Wifey.  I've got a couple of weddings coming up so Hubby and Wifey is perfect.  I kept this simple but elegant, using the sketch from page 60 from Paper Crafts' Card Ideas for Paper Crafters.

I have to say the next set, Alfresco, is a bit more a challenge because food stamps usually stump me a bit.  However, these stamps are so fun and after some pondering, I came up with this!  I love summer BBQ's so couldn't resist using this retro BBQ with some pepper to spice it up!  The BBQ has some gloss to it but it's tough to see.

Have to give a little shout-out of thanks to my fellow Sparks Design Team member, Kimberly Lane, who sent me this super cute card.  Thanks Kim... it is amazing and you are so sweet to send it!  She sent it even before we found out we both made the Sparks team.

Bit of good news... I have a couple of Paper Smooches cards coming out in the July issue of Card Maker Magazine.  Yesterday, one was highlighted on their blog.  As if that wasn't fabulous enough, I then discovered that same card actually made the cover of the July issue!  Even better, I'm sharing the cover with my fabulous and super talented friend Michelle Woerner!  It's my first cover so I'm absolutely ecstatic!  Hard to wipe the smile off my face right now.  :D

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate the time you spend here and the comments you leave. Hope you are having a great week!
