Monday Hugs

Happy Monday!  Yes, Mondays can be happy... it's all about attitude really (blah, blah... are you nauseous yet?).  I always try to go into the day being positive... Monday just doesn't always cooperate with me....;)  Oh yes, and happy April.  Wait... April? What?  Wasn't it just January?

Yesterday I played along with the 90 minute scramble over at the Hero Arts Flickr Group.  Cheiron always keeps me informed about this fun challenge.  I, in turn, dragged Emily into it this time as well.  So the challenge this time was a doozy - in honour of 4-1-2012, the challenge was "4 like elements, 1 patterned paper, 2 colors minimum, 0 black ink, 1 ribbon, and 2 stamps minimum (at least one must be Hero Arts)".  In 90 minutes?  No problem.  The problem for this CAS gal was implementing all of these and not making a really busy (possibly ugly) card.  Needless to say, it took a while to decide on the patterned paper, the layout and which die cut to use.  Many pieces of paper were recycled in the making of this card.  In the end, I actually like how this turned out.  Miracles do happen...

I have 4 pearls (can you find the 4th one?), 1 patterned paper (one on my many new patterned papers - have I mentioned my addiction?), 2 colours (4 actually), 0 black ink (the sentiment is brown), 1 ribbon (yep, just a wee bit),  and 2 stamps (3 actually and all Hero Arts).

So, got a new light box/light combo (it was my hubby's idea - don't you just LOVE that?!?) ... what do you think?  I like the lack of shadows... might have to do some more brightness adjustments in Photoshop.  It will solve my issue about taking photos at night though.  Just love my hubby for suggesting it...

Hope you have a fabulous week and thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate it.
Glenda

  6. Awww...sweet card! I love the hearts and the colors are perfect together. I must get a light box myself since most of my crafting ends up being just as the light dims in the sky!

  8. The scramble sounded rather, well, challenging, but I think the card you created was fabulous! I really like the color combo you used. The lighthing of the card looks nice and even...it's so nice to be able to photograph at night, isn't it?
