Winter smiles

Blue ranks just above pink in colours I don't use very much/not that fond of.  To challenge myself, I thought I would play along with the Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, which says to use navy in an innovative way.  This also works for the Hero Arts Flower Challenge this month.  So my cure for the winter blues is a winter smile.  :)  Smiling right now cause the winter snow we got on Sunday was just a skiff and melted right away!

I don't know if this is innovative way to use navy... just decided to let it speak for itself and then added a little whisper of red (because I can).  No matter what I did with that red floss, it wouldn't stay where I put it so I left it skewed (because I can).

Hope you enjoy your upcoming weekend.  I know I'm looking forward to it.  Mine is lasting three days so that is another reason to smile. :D
Thanks for stopping by.  Always appreciate it.
Glenda

  1. I'm loving the blue and white contrast in this card, Glenda. Not to mention the way that flower echos the chevron pattern. Nice job!

  2. This is a lovely way to use navy blue! The chevrons give your background so much texture, but they are still nice and subtle. :)
