Hope you are having a great summer. I am home for a bit but really busy! Will try to get to my crafty table at the end of the week (so I can play along with some challenges) but until then, here's another publication reject. I stamped the flower a few times, cut out a whole one and curled up the edges, then adhered individual petals in behind. Quite like the effect, what do you think?
ETA - Jocelyn mentioned that I should submit this to the CAS-ual Friday's Embossing Challenge (CFC16) this week, so I am! Thanks Jocelyn!
Thanks for all of your great comments on my cards this summer. I really appreciate it and am very flattered! It's interesting for me, now that I have been submitting for a while, to see what gets accepted for categories I've been rejected for. I'm trying to learn from it and will be much more focused when I get back to submitting in the fall.
Take care and have a great day. Thanks for stopping by.
Glenda

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card--love the flowers! The curled up petals are so pretty. I really like the embossing in the background (you should link this up to CAS-ual Friday's challenge). It must be nice to be home! Oh, and I know what you mean about seeing the accepted cards...I had the same thought last week. You just never know, do you?

ReplyDeleteI can never figure it out either but I know that that is beautiful. love the layered flower!
ReplyDeleteI think that there is a better word for rejection. This certainly doesn't appear to be a rejection, it is so beautiful! I really like the effect of dry embossing white paper, and leaving it alone. Great way to highlight it with the beautiful bloom!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your card even if it wasn't accepted for publication. You have lots of style and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful cards!
