Simple pleasures

Thought would play along with this week's SCS Clean and Simple Challenge (#120) - it's a sketch inspiration challenge (see the post for the sketch). It is one of my simple pleasures to use bold, bright colours on card (even if it does include pink).

Another simple pleasure this week was heading on a little road trip to visit my friend Alli and visit a couple of local crafty stores, Treasured Memories Scrapbooking and Crafty Capers. Had a great day, visiting and crafting with Alli and chatting with the store owners (both of whom I know). I'm going to take this opportunity to encourage you to visit your local stores. So many are closing now, including one here in Victoria. Another closing directly impacts my friend Jenn, as the store she manages is closing. I could go on and on about shopping locally but Jenn's friend & coworker does it best in this post. I am guilty of shopping online (cause some stamp lines only sell online) but I do shop locally and have recently started asking my local stores to order things in for me (and they are happy to). Try it with your local store. I'm sure they would be happy to order things for you.

Hope you are having a great week. I'm currently waiting for the sun to return... it rained today. Have a bunch of yard work to do...not sure why I procrastinate about that so much. I love gardening and being outside... maybe it's the work part of yard work.

Thanks for stopping by. I always appreciate it.
Glenda

  2. Love those bold colors, Glenda. And is that pink I see? Way to go!

I love my LSS (one of the others Jenn just teaches at) and have been making an effort to buy and order through them when possible. It's not quite as easy as ordering it online, but I know I have to make an extra effort to support them if I want them to stick around.
