It's a very dark and rainy Monday morning here so I hope wherever you are, the sun is shining. Time for this week's challenge -
use wood grain on your card or project. You can stamp it (
A Muse has a great wood block stamp), use wood grain paper (like I did), draw it (so cool if you can do that), dry emboss it (surely there is a wood grain embossing folder out there somewhere) - whatever strikes your fancy.
ETA - a couple of quick notes about this card - I have a really hard time using wood grain so this card is huge for me. Also, every time I paper piece this stamp (which is almost every time), her dress is always yellow gingham. Not sure why... guess it just works for me. If you play, please leave a comment here and link back here from your post. If you upload to an online gallery, like
Splitcoast Stampers or
Paper Craft Planet, use the keyword GRAC82. Thanks to
Joanne,
Dori,
Krystie Lee (
twice!) and
Kerry for playing along last week with my heat embossing challenge.
Some exciting news today as well - the
A Muse charity calendars are back and supporting another fabulous charity (have your tissues close by when you read about it - sniffle, sniffle). Check out today's
A Muse News for today's feature projects by
Elena,
Krystie and
Jenn. Be sure check back later this week when I will be showing off my calendar projects.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
Glenda
