Creative Sketch

Looking for my challenge?

So there has been some discussion about my blog header... and since I'm a science geek and have a bunch of science geek friends...the question came up about the obsidian in the photo. Karl, my hubby, did some field work at the Salton Sea in California and brought it back with him. Thought it suited the photo well as it is shiny and sparkly, like so many crafty things! I also think that obsidian is really cool because of how it forms. When molten lava cools quickly it doesn't crystalize and forms glass, a.k.a obsidian.

When I first got in to Splitcoast Stampers, one of the stampers that always caught my eye was sparklegirl, a.k.a. Silke Ledow. She always has crisp designs and bright colours. She is hostess over at Our Creative Corner right now and has some challenges going on. Her colour challenge is yellow, brown, green and pink. If you are here regularly, you know I have an aversion to pink so I've just put a little hit of pink on here. I think it works. Thanks Silke for the inspiration (even though it does include pink!).

This is also for the Fan Club Sketch at Splitcoast Stampers. Thanks to the Dirty Dozen for their inspiration!

Have a great day. If you are looking for something to do this weekend, I am doing a make n' take at the Crop for Mexico on Saturday and teaching Fabulous Folds at Lasting Impressions on Sunday. All the details are here.
