Random Amusing Challenge #64 & celebrations & weekend shenanigans

Another long winded Monday post. I'm known for talking a lot and today's post will be no exception!

First, this week's challenge... to make a floral birthday card. This is inspired by the fact that A Muse is celebrating it's 9th Birthday this week and sneak peaks for Everything's Rosy start on Thursday. Ok, so I used the dill stamp on my card and you may argue that dill isn't a flower technically (my mom calls it a weed) but the stamp does look flowery (and dill does have flowers on it sort of) so my card is fine (sorta, kinda, maybe). Please leave a comment here if you play along and use the keyword GRAC64 if you post to an online gallery. Thanks to Deb for playing along last week!

I was at the Precious Memories Scrapbook Spectacular this weekend with some friends. This group is comprised of some of my friends and friends of friends, from here and there and everywhere... so some of us only see each other at this event and get to know each other a little better every year. We had a blast as usual and I have to thank my bestie Deanne for organizing everything. She is the best and I love her to bits. I also got to see Julie and take an amazing class from her! We also got a bunch of free stuff, took some great classes offered by Amy and Mary Anne from Making Memories, Colleen from Precious Memories and Carolyn from Melissa Frances, crafted till the wee hours and just had a blast. Here are a few photos.

The 'tipsy' card from Julie's class - true to form, I modified Julie's original just a bit. Not that hers wasn't fabulous as it was - I loved all the cards Julie taught - she is so freakin' brilliant!
One of the cards from the Making Memories card class. We got to play with the Slice... it was fun... might have to buy one sometime in the future (when I have a job and can freely spend money). Again, this is slightly modified from the original but I love the colours - so fun!

Here's and Julie and I...and then the whole gang...

This is Tracie, Beth, Deanne, Rhonda, me, Sumiko, Sara, Paula, Michelle, Jennifer, Lindsay and Susie. Thanks ladies for a great weekend! I got some scrapbooking done - truthfully I'm not that great at it and this weekend is the only time I get a lot done but it's a great weekend away.

Be sure to check the A Muse News and the Muse's blogs this week for all the birthday celebrations and sneak peaks. I'll have some fun stuff and pretty stuff too... it's going to be a fabulous week!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by. Glenda
